What's in the CSA Pastured Lamb Share?

Two set boxes. Box A: a lamb roast, cutlets, forequarter chops, loin chops and mince. Box B: shanks, ribs, cutlets, forequarter chops, loin chops, chump chops and mince. A quarter share alternates A and B; a half share is both together. Everything individually packed and ProCryo-frozen.

How often does the Lamb CSA Share deliver?

Monthly is the standard cadence, with every second month or quarterly if that suits you better. You stay in control, skip, pause or cancel any time. Shares are subscription only, and every box is 10% off the listed price. Most subscribers pair it with a Beef Share or alternate the two.

Is the Lamb CSA Share grass-finished as well as grass-fed?

Yes. 100% pasture from birth to harvest. No grain supplements, no feedlot finishing, no antibiotics, no hormones. The flavour comes from the country, not from a feed mix.

Q: Where does Your Farmer's lamb come from?

From The Loch and Kipdale Lambs, both pasture-raised on regenerative country. Our lambs graze diverse Southern Highlands pasture: native grasses, legumes, herbs. They're never confined, never given antibiotics, never grain-finished. The country in the meat is the flavour difference.

Q: How is grass-fed lamb different from supermarket lamb?

Pasture-raised lamb is 50% higher in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), with a better omega-3 balance, more selenium, zinc and B-vitamins than grain-supplemented supermarket lamb. The flavour is mineral-rich and slightly more complex, what farmers call "terroir." Once your kids try a properly raised chop, the supermarket version becomes a hard sell.

Q: How long does the lamb keep in my freezer?

At -18°C, ProCryo blast-frozen vacuum-sealed lamb keeps at least 12 months without quality loss. The vacuum seal stops freezer burn so it tastes as good in month 11 as it did week 1. Thaw in the fridge, usually overnight for chops, longer for roasts.

Keep life interesting with each rotation

So you get to experience all of the lamb, but dont need a mega freezer to do it, we've created a rotation of boxes which are the equivalent of getting all the cuts of an entire lamb over time. We call them boxes A, and B. Aren't we creative.

Choose Your Size

Quarter Lamb Share (approx 4kg): A selection from one rotation (you'll get A or B and then the other pack the following month). Great for smaller households.
- Your first box will be A or B, and then will continue on in sequence.

Half Lamb Share (at least 8kg): Both rotations combined for maximum variety.
